Upcoming SKI-GB Events

Aug 7, 2019

I hope this email finds you all fit and well, firstly apologies in the delay in getting this out to you all - my error it's been a busy few weeks.

Secondly, I'd like to thank all the students and friends who today went and said their final farewell to our beloved Ken Davies who sadly passed away on the 26th July. So many of you made a great effort to give him a send off he would have been overwhelmed with and touched by, and more importantly it meant so much to his family - Wife Carol, and Children Gareth and Shelley and all the grandchildren. The family, have been truly touched by all the messages, cards and flowers, and asked me to thank you all.

At times like this when everyone literally goes out of their way to do these small acts of kindness reiterates what fantastic people we have in our federation and how lucky we all are to have got to know so many special people over all the years of training together. Ken lived his life to the full, and for this wonderful art we all follow, he loved Hanshi, the hard training, just as much as he enjoyed the cool refreshing rehydrating beer at the end as well, and chatting with his friends. There isn't enough time to list all that he has achieved personally with his training, but also what he has given us back either individually or as a Federation - a truly wonderful man, husband, father, friend and fellow Karate-Ka that we are all so privileged to of known and be able to have trained with, or learned from. So Thank you Ken, for everything! Oss
